Procedure Overview

Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation with one of our dental implant specialists in Cancun will consist of reviewing your medical history to ensure suitability for the procedure. During the consultation, the dentist may also ask you for the following:

  • X-rays and CT scan of your mouth
  • Previous medical history
  • The mouth will be checked for adequate bone availability

In some cases, if the jawbone is inadequate, an individual may require bone grafting procedure.

Implant Placement

The dentist will surgically place the dental implants into your gums. These implants will be left for healing and fusing with the jawbone for 3-6 months. A set of temporaries will be given to you during this period.

Replacement Teeth

Once the implants attach to the bone, your permanent replacement teeth will be attached to them via implant overdentures. The teeth will then be tested for ideal fit and comfort.

Alternatives to Full Mouth Dental Implants

All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 is an effective option for upper or lower mouth dental implants using 4 or more implants. They are surgically placed in the jawbone and overdentures are attached to it.

The main benefit of All-on-4 is that it makes use of the available jawbone to avoid bone grafting surgery.

All-on-6 Dental Implants

The procedure involves rehabilitation of the entire arch with 6 or more dental implants so that the pressure can be uniformly distributed between the points.

All-on-8 Dental Implants

All-on-8 procedure consists of 8 implants in each arch. It is well-suited for individuals with sufficient jawbone structure in the mouth to gain appropriate support for the implant's success.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini Dental Implants in Cancun, Mexico, can save you about 30%-50% of the US prices. Mini dental implants (MDIs) are also known as small or narrow diameter implants because they are usually less than 3 mm in diameter.

They are a perfect choice for individuals who are not candidates for traditional implants.
