I was a little nervous for my visit as I speak minimal Spanish, but the staff at CIMA was exceptional! There were English speaking staff available to answer my questions over the phone. Once I got to the hospital, the intake staff was patient with my beginner’s Spanish and were able connect me with an English speaking doctor for my test. The whole process was smooth and quick, and the professionalism of the staff was above and beyond. Thank you for your care!.
Read MoreI was very nervous about the procedure especially being performed in a foreign country. My fears soon vanished when, at the airport I was met by an English speaking representative of CIMA hospital. She was with me through every procedure, checking process and even during the surgery. But it was perhaps the post surgery care that was most impressive.
I was treated like a celebrity. I recommend CIMA Hospital without reservation. It was a wonderful experience. All staff was considerate, courteous and even though there was a language barrier, they all tried to understand and attend to my needs. Angela Lara was especially helpful, like having a personal representative in Costa Rica. Nurse Isabella was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Ariel Rivera was kind and answered my every question.
Had a facelift and breast implants removed after 33 years. Dr is intelligent and well informed. Took a lot of time to explain the procedures to me. Someone picked me up from the airport and I had all the tests done here. I went to Costa Rica for both the price and the opportunity to have someone come into my hotel room, bring breakfast and take care of the surgery needs for an entire week. I really enjoyed meeting all the staff, Dr. son, is studying to be a doctor the Mayo clinic in USA. I am glad I choose to come here. Pain was not bad at all but of course I have 2 kids so I understand pain. Stopped taking the big pain pill after 3 days but I did all the things they asked me to do. Took all the other drugs, walked and drank water
Read MoreOn a recent vacation to Costa Rica, I experienced severe shoulder pain. A full day's experience at CIMA was excellent. Several staff (including doctors) spoke English. From the original check-in to MRI to even calling in a specialist who arrived 30 minutes later. They even diagnosed a problem that was misdiagnosed in the USA and treated me so I could enjoy the rest of my vacation. I would definately recommend this hospital to foreigners and locals alike.
